In the pan/tilt mode, the AR₂ rotates a full 360º to enable complete imaging of the surrounding environment. In the tilt/roll mode, varying the roll angle on a target can provide a 3D-like perspective, or can roll 90º to switch between horizontal and vertical imaging modes. Manual and automated control is simple using the intuitive ARIScope software interface. Both the sonar and the AR₂ operate on a single standard cable.
